Meet our Doctors

Christine Roviera, DVM

Staff Veterinarian

Emergency & Critical Care

I am Italian-American, born in French Guiana and raised in Paris, France. When I was in high school, my family and I moved to Maryland, where I went on to complete my undergraduate studies. Growing up in different cultures led me to become fluent in four languages, including Spanish, which I learned and practiced throughout my education. After moving around the East Coast for my education, first to upstate New York and later to Boston, I ultimately decided to come home to a warmer, sunnier Maryland.

I have always known that I wanted to become a veterinarian, and I discovered my passion for Emergency Medicine during my internship year. My clinical interests include surgery, particularly soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental procedures, as well as neurological cases and trauma.

Outside of work, I enjoy horseback riding, exploring DC with my dog (pictured here), skiing, traveling, and cooking.

Education:

  • University of Maryland (College Park MD), B.S. Animal Sciences
  • Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine (Ithaca NY), DVM
  • Angell Animal Medical Center (Boston MA), Small Animal Rotating Internship
