Meet our Doctors

Andrea Roth, DVM

Staff Veterinarian

Emergency & Critical Care

I am a Baltimore native (let’s go O’s!) and moved to Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 2006. There, I attended Washington College and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Art History before discovering my passion for veterinary medicine. After spending a decade in the veterinary field, I attended the University of Illinois to obtain my DVM. I graduated with high honors and became a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society. I was also honored to receive the ACVR Senior Veterinary Student Award for proficiency in radiology. After graduation, I moved back to the DC area for a year-long rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. I am thrilled to be staying in the DMV and joining the Friendship team.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, and exploring new places. I live my husband, two quirky rescue cats, and probably too many plants.

Education:

  • Washington College (Chestertown, MD), BA Sociology & Art History
  • University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine (Urbana, IL), DVM
  • Veterinary Referral Associates (Gaithersburg, MD), small animal medicine & surgery internship
